Did you know that Tenerife is one of the best places in the world for stargazing? So if you want to take advantage of it, the “stargazing Teide” experience is what you are looking for.
So first of all we pick you up from your accomodation in Tenerife south around 19:00 (in winter 16:15); then we take you to a nice spot in the mountains to let you admire a fantastic sunset; here we offer you a hot meal, wine and soft drinks.
When it gets dark we travel to the center of the Teide National Park and stop to begin the stargazing Teide; the sky here is particularly dark and clear all year round, that makes it one of the best stronomy locations in the world; this is because Tenerife is far from the light pollution caused by big cities and urban areas.
At this point we set up our professional telescopes and get ready to observe the sky; our experienced guide of the stargazing Teide will start to explain and provide interesting information about stars, planets, constellations, galaxies and astronomical phenomena; moreover he will use a powerful laser beam to point out the celestial objects he is talking about.
If during the stargazing Teide the moon is visible that night take a look with the telescope and be ready for astonishment; you can not imagine how well you can see the craters on our satellite planet; we also allow you to take pictures with your mobile phone or camera through the lenses of our observation device.
One of the most interesting things you can see during the stargazing Teide is the Milky Way; this is the galaxy that contains our solar system and it appears like a band of light to our naked eye; its visibility can be highly reduced by light pollution, so Tenerife is a perfect place to admire it.
When the explanation is finished and everyone has fully enjoyed the trip we leave the park; around 23:30 (in winter 21:00) we drop you off at the same place where we picked you up.
The “Stargazing Teide” is available every day.
Our professional guides speak English and Spanish.
