The island tour Tenerife is a coastal excursion that will take you to visit the most famous places of the island. It is recommended for people who don’t want to travel to the mountains or for those who have already been to the Teide National Park. The tour stops in different places depending on whether you are starting from the south or north of Tenerife.

DESCRIPTION OF THE TOUR STARTING FROM THE SOUTH:

So first of all we pick you close to your accomodation. then we get the highway direction Santa Cruz and we reach the city of Candelaria. during our first stop of the island tour Tenerife we admire the famous cathedral of the black Madonna, patron saint of Canary Islands. in front of the church, in the main square, we can see nine big statues. these represent the “MENCEYS“, the aboriginal kings who ruled the island before the Spanish conquered it.

We continue our island tour Tenerife heading north and we stop in the town of La Laguna. This is home to the most famous university of Canary Islands. There we have a walk in the historical center admiring its architecture typical of the Spanish colonial settlements.

After that we reach the town of La Orotava where we stop for a visit of its historical center. Here we see well-preserved ancient buildings and find tipical products, feeling the real culture of people from Tenerife.

The fourth place that we visit with the island tour Tenerife is Garachico. the eruption of volcano Trevejo in 1706 partly destroyed the town. lava flows reached the sea and formed natural pools which are nowadays the most known of Tenerife. the big rock in front of the village “Roque de Garachico” and the pools are the symbols of the area.

The last stop of our island tour Tenerife is Masca, a little village in the middle of spectacular Teno Mountain. This, along with the Teide, is the most important tourist destination of the island. Paying a visit to this area is a must when visiting Tenerife.

During the excursion we stop in a restaurant where you can have lunch (not included in the price). Anyway you can choose to bring your own food or eat somewhere else if you prefer.

When the island Tour Tenerife starts from the north it visits different places. First stop is Candelaria, then we drive direction south passing through Los Cristianos, Playa de Las Americas, Playa San Juan and Playa de La Arena. Second stop is “Mirador de Los Gigantes”, a panoramic viewpoint where you can admire the majestic cliffs of Los Gigantes. Third stop is “Mirador de Garachico” to see the town of Garachico from above. Fourth and last place visited is Icod de Los Vinos where you have free time to visit the historical centre. During the excursion we stop in a restaurant in the area of El Tanque where you can have lunch (not included in the price). Anyway you can choose to bring your own food if you prefer.
